Our small business team here at West Metro Packaging Co had a desire to bring to market a new and innovative rethink on everyday food and beverage packaging products that we all know and utilise.
The love of pizza prompted us to start with the pizza box!
We scoured the world in the hopes of sparking the project to life! And that’s when we found GreenBox! A brand new innovative pizza box that is made from recycled material and has serving plates and a storage container built right in! The GreenBox is made under US Patent 7,051,919. Below are the claims below we make about the GreenBox and a description of the benefits of the GreenBox. We hope you have as much fun using the GreenBox as we have had making it in Australia.
Multi Use Box, Don't Use Water & Plastic
The first of its benefits is that the lid of the box has perforated lines that means it can be torn into quarters to use as plates instead of using plastic or paper plates or dishes which will later need to be washed, saving water and time. The bottom then folds into a compact storage container for leftovers or for many other creative uses!
MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIAL
Since 2014 GreenBoxes have been made from Recycled materials. Our manufacturers six recycled paper mills are all ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified to ensure they provide product to board plants that is consistent in both quality and environmental performance.

Recyclable
The box is made for recyclability and not biodegradability as this allows the raw materials used in production to be used multiple times. The GreenBox cardboard can be recycled into a new product and collection of cardboard in current recycling is occurring across most population areas of Australia where we supply the GreenBox. Local councils and other bodies however may provide further information on recyclability.
Supporting The Community
GreenBox Australia is a small business that does not sell advertising on its packaging. Rather we utilise space on the box to promote the good works of the St Vincent De Paul Society where possible to do so. Some proceeds from this financial year box sales (5 cents per box up to a maximum of $1000) also goes to supporting the St Vincent De Paul Society.
